Autism teaching assistants needed from February to work in secondary schools throughout Sussex. If you have experience working with students who have autism or other learning support needs in the areas of social emotional mental health we welcome your application.
We have positions that are full tine, part time, permanent and temporary dependant on your availability and commitments. The opportunity to work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis provides a highly rewarding job role where you can directly impact a students learning and progress.
Schools will be looking for teaching assistants to have an empathetic nature, previous experience working with young people and a passion for education. Schools will be looking to see candidates for interview and trials so you will need to be available for these to be successful.
As a teaching assistant you will work within an SEN department alongside the schools SEN co-ordinator working towards student’s progress targets and tailored intervention programmes.

• *Paid on a weekly basis through pay as you earn
• *Earn between GBP250-GBP320 per week

Criteria to work as a teaching assistant;
• *Flexible attitude and willingness to adapt to the role
• *Work based or educational references
• *Apply for a fully enhanced DBS certificate
• *Experience working with young people or a relevant qualification
