Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel’s SEN Teaching Assistants work with pupils who have various learning needs such as autism and complex learning difficulties. SEN Teaching Assistants will work alongside key school staff and consistent tutors.

Our staff establishes productive working relationships with pupils to provide the most innovative learning environment. This primary school caters for pupils who have various medical and profound learning needs and difficulties including autism. The school is Ofsted graded “Good” with recent redesign of the curriculum it has seen development among pupils, by focusing on grouping pupils based on their preferred style of learning: experiential, exploratory or investigative, allowing personalised teaching to each class. 

The role will involve working with children that have various conditions and helping them to concentrate on work and support them in the classroom. A number of students suffer from Autistic Spectrum Condition which requires the school to operate as small classes with experienced staff. You will work alongside teaching staff and other support staff in the classroom to provide a creative and engaging learning environment for young learners. Majority of supporting will be on a small group basis or providing individual 1:1 support. 

• Hourly rate: GBP9.50- GBP10.50
