Teaching Assistant
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel are recruiting Teaching Assistants! The role will be to work with pupils from the ages of 4-11.
Particular focus will be on behaviour management and meeting their emotional needs after an absence of education and social interaction. Are you ready to give some valuable input to a child's development?
You will work in primary schools across St Austell (and surrounding areas if you can travel) to enable different pupils to be managed in the classroom environment and provide the support they need to feel happy, secure and comfortable whilst pushing them to succeed and excel expectations. You will work with pupils who require additional support, working with them to manage their behaviour as well as ensuring that they successfully achieve the desired outcomes of the day. The role will be varied; providing support on a 1:1 and small group basis; ensuring that all pupils are working towards meeting curriculum standards.
We require staff who have previous experience of providing this support but often find that previous Nursery Nurses, those with Degrees in education Studies or Psychology and Previous Adult Mental Health care assistants get on well in these positions. You are welcome to call us to see if your experience would work. Candidates with experience in providing booster classes to raise attainment in subjects or topics will be very desirable.
Hours will be in line with school opening times (08:30-15:15) but days of work can be flexible, and occasionally just mornings or afternoons, but we will give you the opportunity to manage your own time around your own commitments.
In return you will receive competitive salary paid weekly. As a company we offer exciting opportunities for you and offer free and discounted CPD opportunities to help you progress in your school support career. We work with a variety of local schools, providing you with a variety of roles and experience. We are the UK's Leading Supply Teacher agency, working with over 100 schools across Cornwall alone! Every day we support schools with supply cover, long term temporary assignments and permanent recruitment, so whatever it is you are looking for - we can help you to find your dream role!
For more information, or to apply, please register on our website or click 'apply now'.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
