Teaching Assistant

A large Primary School in Penzance , Cornwall is looking for an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who has high expectations and thrives off the levels of achievement their students make. The primary school has leaders and governors who work as a united team, who share a common drive to uphold the high standards within the school.

This school is looking for a confident Teacher that can work closely with other professionals and teach across the Key Stage 2 board. You will be asked to teach the primary core subjects as well as offer support to each student’s individual needs. You will liaise with the class Teaching Assistant who will work closely with small groups of students and you will work towards achieving and maintaining targets.

The school have also recently begun teaching through the Maths Mastery method, using some elements of the White Rose maths scheme within their planning. They have found that this is having a positive impact on the way children understand numbers. Some experience of using the Maths Mastery ideas would be beneficial but is not essential.
