Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Warrington. This full-time role is ideal for someone with experience working with children or young people who present challenging behaviours, emotional difficulties, or additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Help manage behaviour and promote positive emotional wellbeing
- Build trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement
- Support pupils both in the classroom and during off-site activities
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or in a care/support role
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
- Team Teach or similar training is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
