Our partner secondary schools in Warrington are looking for motivated graduates to work with students aged 11-16. Positions are available in Grappenhall, Great Sankey, Padgate, and Birchwood.
Roles starting ASAP or from September 2024.
Teaching Assistant Role:
- Provide general classroom support and work with students identified by the special educational needs department.
- Offer 1:1 and small group assistance and intervention.
- Run nurture groups in Maths and English to support lower-ability students.
- Challenge high-achieving students and provide additional help to those with lower abilities.
- Cover Supervisor Role:
- Lead mainstream lessons when the class teacher is absent.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure student engagement.
- Maintain classroom control and confidence as the responsible adult.
- Gain teaching experience without the need for lesson planning and grading.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
