Are you a patient, compassionate, and dedicated individual looking for a rewarding role in education? A school in Shaftesbury is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants (TAs) to support their students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
About the School
A specialist school providing education and support to children and young people with a range of complex needs, including Autism, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, and communication challenges. A nurturing and structured learning environment helps students develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, supporting both their academic progress and emotional well-being.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
✅ Support students with their learning, social development, and emotional regulation.
✅ Assist teachers in delivering engaging, adapted lessons that meet individual needs.
✅ Work with students 1:1 and in small groups to provide tailored support.
✅ Help create a safe, structured, and encouraging learning environment.
✅ Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support students’ holistic development.
What We’re Looking For
✨ A caring, patient, and resilient individual with a passion for working with young people.
✨ Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
✨ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
✨ A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students with complex needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
