Teaching Assistant

A position for a full time Teaching Assistant has become available in the Trafford region of South Manchester. The post is a full-time (Monday -Friday) position with a start date of as soon as possible. The role would involve helping the class teacher with a range of classroom activities and supporting pupils with their learning and understanding of tasks on a one to one or small group basis. Catering for the pupils differentiated needs and helping to perform formative assessments will also be a requirement.

The school is easy to access via public transport links (bus and tram) from the city centre and surrounding areas. It is a 5 minute walk from the nearest Metrolink stop. Access to a vehicle is advantageous but by no means essential. The post is currently full time temporary with the possibility of going permanent.

• £77 - £85 per day depending on experience

This role would be a good opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is looking to gain valuable experience working within an Ofsted outstanding school. The role would help the TA candidate to expand their subject knowledge and their ability to accurately differentiate between individual pupil needs and attainment levels. Some of the essential requirements for the role are:

• Strong Literacy and Numeracy skills
• Experience within a classroom setting (one to one or whole class)
• Live within commuting distance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
