Full-Time Teaching Assistant (Secondary School)
Location: Rawtenstall, Lancashire (BB4)
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (January 2026 – July 2026)

Our welcoming secondary school in Rawtenstall is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team from January 2026 until July 2026.
As a valued member of our school community, you will work alongside teachers and support staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, has strong communication skills, and is keen to make a real difference in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects.
- Provide targeted support to students with additional learning needs, both one-to-one and in small groups.
- Assist with classroom management and the preparation of learning materials.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Contribute to the wider school community and uphold school values and policies.
About You
- Experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable).
- A positive, proactive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
