Sports Coach – Alternative Provision (Secondary)
Location: Burnley
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Are you passionate about using sport to engage and inspire young people? We are looking for a dedicated Sports Coach to join a Secondary Alternative Provision in Burnley. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a non-mainstream setting and wants to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people.
About the Provision:
Alternative Provisions support students who are unable to attend mainstream education. This may be due to social, emotional or behavioural needs. These settings provide a tailored and supportive learning environment with smaller class sizes and a focus on building trust, consistency, and positive relationships.
About the Role:

Deliver and support sports and physical education sessions
-
Build strong relationships with students, often with complex needs
-
Support behaviour management and personal development
-
Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to engage pupils in learning

Confident, resilient and calm under pressure

Able to build rapport with young people quickly and positively

Passionate about sport and physical activity as a tool for engagement

Experienced in youth work, coaching, mentoring or education (desirable)

Committed to inclusion, understanding, and making a difference

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
