Full-Time Male Teaching Assistant (Secondary School Setting)
Location: Blackburn area
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic male Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.
In this rewarding role, you’ll work closely with small groups of male students, helping them to re-engage with learning and develop confidence, motivation, and positive attitudes towards education. You’ll support them across a range of subjects, both in and out of the classroom, creating a calm, supportive environment that encourages success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support small groups of male pupils to engage positively in lessons.
- Provide academic and pastoral support under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Help to create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote good behaviour and resilience.
- Encourage pupils to take pride in their learning and celebrate progress.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning.
- Is patient, approachable, and confident in working with teenagers.
- Can model positive male role behaviour and foster respectful relationships.
- Works well as part of a team but can also take initiative.
This is a full-time position, ideal for someone who’s passionate about education and keen to make a lasting impact on young lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
