Are you confident working with pupils who display challenging behaviour?
Teaching Personnel are working with a school in the Poole area, seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team.
The school is a primary SEN School, catering for pupils with behaviour needs; including Autism, ADHD and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). The school has on-site parking and is reachable by public transport.
You will be working as a class based Teaching Assistant within a Key Stage 2 class. This will involve working with small groups and on a 1-1 basis. Due to the nature of the pupils, you should have strong behaviour management and be confident supporting challenging behaviour.
To be successful in this role you should:
- have experience within a school setting
- be resilient and confident supporting behaviour
- Team Teach training is desirable (Teaching Personnel provide this training if you don't have this)
- be enthusiastic
- have a positive approach to behaviour management
This is a full time role to start immediately. The school hours are 8.45am - 4.30pm
