Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are a welcoming and inclusive SEN school dedicated to supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties. Our aim is to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.
We are looking for a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing, both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils with their learning on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
-
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities
-
Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
-
Support pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
-
Encourage independence and confidence in students
-
Assist with personal care where required
-
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)

A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

The ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations
-
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
