Join us as a Teaching Assistant in Northumberland, where your expertise in education and adept handling of behavioural challenges will shine. We're recruiting for a full-time role, offering support to children through 1:1 sessions or small groups. Make a significant impact on education by creating positive learning environments. Your commitment is crucial in shaping the future for every student.

What does this job do?

-        To provide ideas, resources and learning strategies for lessons.

-        To assist in pupil supervision and the management of pupil behaviour.

-        Support the development of pupils’ literacy skills in all lessons.

-        Support social communication skills always.

-        To undertake activities to assist in monitoring the personal social and emotional needs of pupils.

-        Support the development of pupils’ independent learning and independence skills.

What are the job requirements?

-        GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Maths

-        Childcare/NVQ/other relevant qualification (related to education desirable)

-        Experience of support work with children in an educational setting

-        Experience in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
