Full-Time Primary Teaching Assistant – Newton Aycliffe

Location: Newton Aycliffe
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience, paid weekly)
Contract: Full-time (Monday – Friday)

Are you ready to dive into a classroom where every day brings creativity, curiosity and big smiles? Teaching Personnel are looking for a friendly, proactive and inspiring Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Newton Aycliffe on a full-time basis.

If you love helping children grow in confidence, supporting learning in fun and engaging ways, and being part of a supportive school family — this could be the perfect next step for you!


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils across the school, including small-group interventions and 1:1 support
  • Bringing lessons to life with creative, hands-on approaches
  • Helping children with their academic progress, social skills and emotional wellbeing
  • Working collaboratively with class teachers and the wider school team
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and helping create a warm, nurturing learning environment

⭐ We’d Love to Hear From You If You:

  • Have experience working in a primary school setting
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) – desirable
  • Are confident, adaptable and full of enthusiasm
  • Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils
  • Are committed to a full-time, long-term role with potential for permanency

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
