Secondary Teaching Assistant

Location: Liverpool
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their educational journey? Do you have experience working in secondary schools and a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and inclusive school in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting students across KS3 and KS4, with a particular focus on those with additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students in mainstream and SEN settings
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
  • Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school
  • SEN experience highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or equivalent)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
