French Teacher – KS2 & KS3
Dorchester Area | Feb Start – May Half Term (Potential to Extend) | Paid to Scale

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working closely with a well-regarded Middle School near the Dorchester area, who are seeking a passionate and confident French Teacher to join their team from February. This position will run until May half term, with the strong possibility of being extended.

The school is known for its supportive staff, positive culture, and commitment to high-quality language learning. They are looking for an enthusiastic MFL specialist who can engage pupils across KS2 and KS3, deliver well-structured French lessons, and maintain excellent classroom routines.

The role:

  • Teaching French across KS2 and KS3 in a friendly Middle School
  • Planning and delivering engaging language lessons
  • Supporting students of varying abilities, ensuring progress and confidence
  • Working collaboratively with the wider MFL team and school leadership
  • Covering Feb – May half term, with potential for extension
  • Longer-term placements paid to scale (MPS/UPS)

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience teaching French at KS2 and/or KS3
  • Holds QTS or is a qualified MFL specialist
  • Can deliver engaging lessons that build vocabulary, confidence and enthusiasm
  • Maintains strong behaviour management and positive relationships
  • Is committed, reliable and able to integrate quickly into a school team
  • Brings energy, organisation and a passion for languages

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
