Primary Teacher – KS1 (Maternity Cover)
Near Beaminster | Paid to Scale | Start Date TBC

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working with a supportive and community-focused primary school near Beaminster, seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher to cover a maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced practitioner to join a warm, well-led school that values creativity, teamwork and high-quality teaching.

The school is looking for someone who can confidently step into a KS1 classroom, maintain strong routines, and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and support young learners.

The role:

  • Teaching a KS1 class with full classroom responsibility
  • Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
  • Working collaboratively with the year group and wider staff team
  • Ensuring continuity and consistency for pupils during the maternity cover period
  • Full-time position, paid to scale according to experience (MPS/UPS)

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has QTS and solid experience within Key Stage 1
  • Creates a nurturing, stimulating and well-managed learning environment
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and clear communication
  • Builds warm, positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
  • Is committed to supporting each child’s progress and wellbeing
  • Can adapt quickly and bring positivity, organisation and professionalism to the role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
