Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in County Durham to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic TA to work as part of a dedicated team focused on pupil progress and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum

• Working with individuals and small groups to provide targeted support and interventions

• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting pupils’ emotional and social development

• Assisting with classroom preparation and the organisation of learning materials

• Supporting children with varying abilities, including those with additional needs

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

• Experience supporting children in a primary school setting, ideally within KS2

• A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach to working with children

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A clear and current enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
