Start Date: ASAP / Negotiable
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (temporary with potential for long-term placement)
Salary: £90 – £95 per day

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to support learning within a friendly and inclusive primary school in County Durham. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual looking to make a difference in early education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support to pupils in Key Stage 1, working closely with the class teacher

  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities

  • Support individual pupils and small groups, including those with additional learning needs

  • Help to maintain a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

  • Promote good behaviour and encourage positive social interaction

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

  • Experience supporting KS1 pupils in a school setting

  • A good understanding of the KS1 curriculum and child development

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, caring and proactive approach

  • Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
