We are currently looking for Teaching assistants to work within the Coalville area on a day to day basis. If you are an individual with quite a busy schedule and you are looking for work alongside other commitments then this may be of interest to you. Teaching Personnel are currently working with multiple primary schools within the Loughborough area and schools in the surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate would have experience working within primary schools and have good knowldege of the national curriculum. Candidates who have had experience working with children in other roles would be considered. The candidate would also need to have a DBS that is registered with the update service or is willing to apply for one.
Essential requirments for this role:
- A GCSE in English and Maths
- Calm and patient approach when working with children
- Have proven ability to work as a team
- Show a high level of commitment to, and enthusiasm for, the role
- Have energy, flexibility and drive
- Have high expectations for themselves and their pupils
Responsibilties
- Supporting schoolwork under the supervision of the teacher.
- Preparing learning resources.
- Encouraging children's confidence, self esteem and independence.
- Helping children understand instructions, through repetition, re-phrasing or demonstrating.
- Putting into practice individual education, social, behavioural and personal care programmes.
- Encouraging children to communicate with one another and with staff.
- Providing feedback and assistance to teachers.
- Supporting children in social activities and on outings.
- Assisting children during therapy sessions.
- Recognising signs of distress in children and offering reassurance.
- Attending to pupils' physical needs.
- Completing records.
