Requirements:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant
- Able to travel to Chingford
- Experience in KS1
A school in E4 Chingford has contacted Teaching Personnel in search of a TA to provide extra support across their KS1 classes.
The school in question need someone to work full-time 5 days a week. This role is initially until the Easter holidays as this is when a full-time member of staff returns, although there is a chance that the school may keep the candidate on in a longer-term position if it goes well. The school is a very lively and positive environment to work, where the children are on the whole very polite and well-mannered to each other and to staff. The school require each member of staff to maintain this standard by sticking firmly to their behaviour policy, which is designed to isolate the incidents which do take place and minimise the effects this has on the attention and learning of the rest of the children.
What the school are looking for:
The SLT are looking for a versatile TA who is confident and competent across KS1 age groups, as they need a member of staff who can fill in where extra support and help is needed. Experience across a number of primary year groups would therefore be desirable for a school such as this. Predominantly, this role is general TA work supporting the class teacher by supplementing the learning of the class and making sure each child is focussed and on task. The school also has a higher than average SEN intake, and so much of the role will include assisting ASC children and taking them out of class for 1-2-1 support when necessary. The school are happy to consider Graduate TA’s as long as they have at least some experience of working with SEN children – not necessarily in a school setting.
To apply for the role:
Firstly, you must satisfy the requirements laid out at the top of this advert. If you can fulfil these, then apply by sending an up to date CV which explains your previous roles and the responsibilities that came with them.
