We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our specialist provision for pupils aged 11–16 with SEMH needs and Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs). Based in Bournemouth, we offer a dynamic, attachment-aware, and nurturing learning environment where no two days are the same.


About the Role:

  • Job Title: Teaching Assistant

  • Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only

  • Start Date: September 2025 

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a Teacher to support a small class of up to 8 students. You’ll play a key role in:

  • Providing academic and emotional support to pupils with SEMH needs

  • Assisting with tailored learning activities across core and vocational subjects

  • Promoting positive behaviour, resilience, and confidence

  • Supporting a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

About You:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is patient, calm, and enthusiastic about working with young people

  • Has experience in supporting young people with SEMH, SEND or behaviour needs

  • Can work flexibly as part of a team

  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence and a proactive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
