We're seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate to join a inclusive community SEN School. As a valued member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in providing tailored support and guidance to pupils with autism, fostering their growth, independence, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Individualized Support: Utilize your understanding of psychology to create personalized strategies and interventions that meet the unique needs of each pupil with autism.
  2. Collaborative Approach: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans that promote academic, social, and emotional development.
  3. Positive Reinforcement: Implement positive behavior support techniques to encourage positive behaviors and mitigate challenges associated with autism.
  4. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to track progress, identify trends, and adjust support strategies accordingly.
  5. Advocacy and Awareness: Advocate for the needs of pupils with autism within the school community and raise awareness about best practices in supporting individuals with ASD.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and evidence-based interventions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
