Are you an experienced teaching assistant?

Do you have experience in supporting pupils who have ASC and ADHD?

Have you previously worked as an SEN teaching assistant and would you be interested in this full time post from January working in Bury?

My priority school located in Bury are seeking a SEN teaching assistant for a pupil referral unit (PRU). They want a SEN teaching assistant to cover for a member of staff who is off due to illness. The position is to support pupils in the classroom with any needs they may have, and making sure that a safe environment is provided so that each pupil can reach full potential.

The school caters for pupils who have ASC/ADHD and behavioural difficulties. The pupils are aged between 11-16. The work will be set by the class teacher and you will be required to keep the children engaged, keep noise down and keep control of pupil's behaviour.

*** Willing to get a DBS (on the update service)

*** Previous Experience

*** Team-Teach Trained (Desirable)

*** Working on a temporary basis

*** Working in a school within Bury

*** Working with Challenging behaviours

This is supply work and you will ideally have your own transport, if not be able to use public transport and commute to schools from a morning call.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
