Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Secondary Special Needs school in Bolton. They are looking to hire a Teaching Assistant that has previous experience of working in the care sector. The school are looking for someone who has supported adults or young people with additional needs such as profound and multiple difficulties as well as complex needs. The position the school are looking to find a member of staff for a Year 10 class, with young people who need extra support within the classroom.

A big reason why the school are searching for a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience in the care sector is due to them gaining specific training that would be easily transitioned into working with young people who need extra support, such as; Moving and Handling Training, PEG Training and Physical De-Escalation Training.

The role of the Teaching Assistant in an SEN School will be to make sure that all of the young peoples needs are met, whether that be feeding or personal care. Also the Teaching Assistant will need to make sure that all of the young people in the class are fully engaged and involved in the class work, and to make sure that the noise levels are kept to a minimum and not distracting other young people.

  • Ad-hoc supply work available to cover absences and staff training
  • Immediate work after a smooth registration process
  • Pay to reflect your experience, earn up to £9.50 per hour (£57 - £67 per day)
  • The opportunity to develop your experience and undertake certified training
  • Excellent support within this Bolton based school
