Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship in Christchurch (Dorset)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Teaching Personnel is excited to offer a 16-month Teaching Assistant (TA) Apprenticeship in Christchurch! No previous experience is required – all you need is a genuine desire to support and empower children, and we’ll provide the rest.
About the Role:
From day one, you’ll be placed in a local school, where you’ll work directly with children with special educational needs, helping them thrive academically and personally. As a TA apprentice, you’ll be a vital support for both the classroom teacher and students, promoting self-belief, social inclusion, and confidence within a positive and safe environment. You’ll help pupils access the curriculum in a way that suits their unique needs and abilities.
What You’ll Gain:
- Immediate School Placement: Begin working in a school setting from the start, learning directly from experienced SEN staff.
- Hands-On Experience in SEN Support: Develop essential skills in supporting children with diverse learning needs, behaviors, and abilities.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification: Upon completion, you’ll earn a nationally recognised qualification.
- Opportunity for a Permanent Role: Successful apprentices may have the opportunity to continue with a permanent position after 16 months.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
