Do you want to work within the education sector but have limited or no experience?

Not to worry, a secondary school in the Weymouth area wants to recruit dedicated and caring individuals to work as a Teaching Assistant and/or Cover Supervisor.

This role will start on a temporary contract with a view to go permanent for the right candidate. Ideally, you will have a degree or experience however a candidate with a great personality who wants to get into the Education sector as a Teaching Assistant or Supply Teacher will also be considered.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to work 1:1 or in small and large groups with KS3 and KS4 pupils or within the classroom to assist the teacher in the delivery of curriculum. Alternatively, as a Cover Supervisor, you would be managing the classroom in a teacher's absence therefore we would be looking for confident individuals and previous experience in behaviour management would be desired.

The successful candidate will have:

  • University degree is desired but not essential
  • A DBS (or be willing to get one during registration)
  • Passion to support students and the ambition to progress within the education sector
  • A kind, caring personality and great attitude
  • The ability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviour
  • Patience, understanding and empathy with pupils

Why Work with Us?

  • Our relationships with local schools provide access to a wealth of teaching opportunities in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools.
  • Access to our CPD academy - numerous courses to help your learning development.
  • Competitive pay rate- we care about all our teachers and support staff and so ensure we offer you a fair and competitive rate.
  • Flexibility - One extremely useful benefit of securing your long term role through us is that it allows you to go into a school and decide whether it is the right one for you before fully committing to the entire academic year

We have a number of part time and full time roles available. If you are unable to commit to a particular role but still wish to gain classroom experience we can also offer you day to day supply work to fit around your schedule.

Please apply below with your CV and one of our team will be in contact!
