Teaching Personnel have a fantastic opportunity to earn extra income while also doing something that makes a real difference in a student’s life.
We are working alongside Local Authorities based in Berkshire who are currently seeking to recruit multiple out-reach tutors. These tutors are to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who are educated outside of mainstream education. You will be making a direct impact on the education, lives and future careers of those pupils that are hardest to reach.
The pupils who require tuition may be being educated outside of mainstream for a variety of reasons including Special educational or Medical Needs, Looked After Children (LAC Status) or exclusion due to challenging behaviour, among other possible reasons.
If you are a Teacher able to combine the expertise of your subject, or general subjects, with an enthusiastic approach to helping others, and are looking for a varied and rewarding role, please read on to the candidate requirements.
Requirements for the ideal candidate:
- Be able to swiftly build positive relationships and gain the trust and confidence of the young person so that they get back on track with their learning.
- Have considerable experience and understanding of children and young people who have additional needs and difficulties that prevents positive access to their learning.
- Work well within a team and be well organised and efficient.
- Be an experienced teacher with proven ability to work with children and young people at different ages and stages to achieve successful outcomes.
- Be solution focused, flexible and have a good sense of humour.
