Teacher of Mathematics

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Contract: Full-time

Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join a successful secondary school in Bournemouth from September 2026.

The successful candidate will be passionate about Mathematics and committed to delivering engaging, challenging and accessible lessons that inspire students to develop confidence, mathematical understanding and strong problem-solving skills.

The Role

• Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 opportunities.
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
• Prepare and support students for GCSE examinations.
• Develop students' mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students across different abilities.
• Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school.
• Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Mathematics.
• Can create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Has high expectations of all students.
• Is committed to raising attainment and improving student outcomes.
• Works effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative department.
