Your Role as a Cover Supervisor
As a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school in Weymouth, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students and staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising classes during short-term teacher absences
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons to ensure learning continues smoothly
- Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
- Building rapport with students and supporting their engagement in learning
Important: This role involves no lesson planning, marking, or formal teaching. It is designed to give you valuable, realistic classroom experience.
