Job description
FUTURE TEACHERS PROGRAMME
Bournemouth | January 2027 or September 2027
Start Your Journey into Teaching
Looking for a career that is rewarding, meaningful and offers genuine progression?
The Future Teachers Programme provides graduates with the opportunity to gain two years of paid experience in a school before progressing into teacher training. You'll work alongside experienced educators, develop essential classroom skills, and discover whether teaching is the right long-term career for you.
If you're passionate about supporting young people and want to gain valuable experience before undertaking a PGCE or salaried teacher training route, this programme could be the perfect next step.
About the Programme
Location: Bournemouth
Start Dates: January 2027 or September 2027
Salary: £23,000 - £27,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time
Programme Length: Two Years
Career Progression: PGCE or Salaried Teacher Training
What You'll Gain
A Competitive Salary
Earn while developing your skills and gaining valuable professional experience in a school environment.
Practical Classroom Experience
Work directly with pupils and teaching staff, building a strong understanding of teaching and learning.
Professional Development
Receive guidance, mentoring and support from experienced education professionals throughout the programme.
Clear Career Progression
Complete the programme with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to move into formal teacher training.
The Two-Year Programme
Year One: Learn and Develop
Gain first-hand experience of school life, support teaching and learning, and develop the core skills required for a successful career in education.
Year Two: Progress and Prepare
Build on your experience by taking on greater responsibility, strengthening your classroom practice and preparing for the next stage of your teaching journey.
Ideal Candidates
We are looking for graduates who:
- Have a genuine interest in education
- Enjoy working with young people
- Are considering a career in teaching
- Possess strong communication skills
- Are eager to learn and develop professionally

Whether you're a recent graduate or looking for a career change, the programme offers an excellent opportunity to build confidence, develop professionally and make a real difference in the lives of young people.
