What the Apprenticeship Offers
1. Real Classroom Experience
You’ll spend the academic year working in a local school, building core teaching skills through daily interaction with pupils and staff. This on-the-job training allows you to learn classroom management, lesson planning, and effective teaching strategies from day one.
2. High-Quality Training and CPD
Alongside your school placement, you’ll receive structured training delivered by education professionals. Sessions cover areas such as behaviour management, curriculum design, assessment, inclusion, and safeguarding, ensuring you're well-prepared for the demands of teaching.
3. Professional Mentoring and Support
From the start of your apprenticeship, you’ll be paired with a dedicated mentor. You’ll receive personalised guidance, regular feedback, and pastoral support to help you develop confidence and skill in your teaching practice.
4. A Route to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Successful completion of the apprenticeship can lead to progression into Initial Teacher Training (ITT) or a PGCE route—paving the way toward full qualification and long-term employment in education.
Financial Support
- Salary: £22,000 to £25,000 per year
You’ll earn while you train, with a competitive salary that enables you to focus on your professional growth without the financial pressures of traditional training routes.

Essential Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in any subject
- GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above)
Desirable:
- A Levels in any subject
- Experience working with children or young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
