Teacher of Physics- Cheshire

Due to an upcoming planned absence within the Science department, Teaching Personnel are working alongside our partner secondary school & sixth form for a Physics Teacher. This full time Physics Teacher position will begin from January 2019 and be for two terms in the first instance. This is a truly unique opportunity for a Physics Teacher to work in a school that enjoys an excellent reputation within the local area. There is also a possibility of a fixed-term contract being offered to the suitable Physics Teacher thereafter.

Specific details:

-Teaching Physics to Key Stages 3 & 4.

-To develop Physics lesson plans in accordance with the national curriculum models.

-To maintain order and discipline among students whilst promoting safety and compliance with school rules and guidelines.

-Pay in line with MPS/UPS.

Information about the school:

The incoming Physics Teacher will join a school that has an ambitious Senior Leadership team who have high expectations for both staff and pupils. There is a harmonious environment throughout and pupils display excellent behaviour and positive attitudes to learning. The Science department regularly achieve outstanding GCSE results.

It is a large secondary school with over 1000 pupils on roll. A further 150 attend the school's sixth form provision. The large percentage of pupils who attend the school are from White British heritage. The number of pupils eligible for the pupil premium funding are below the national average.

It is located on the outskirts of South Manchester making it easily accessible to the surrounding areas of Sale, Macclesfield and Timperley. There are also excellent public transport links that run directly from Manchester city centre.
