Teacher of Maths, Oxford - Good School

A high performing community school and sixth form college in North Oxfordshire is hiring now for a new Teacher of Maths to join them in September 2019 on a full time basis. The school is situated in a rural location between Oxford centre and Banbury.

This North Oxfordshire school can offer a welcoming environment and a Maths department that is passionate about instilling confidence in it's pupil's around tackling Maths. The department is large and well established now and has seen higher than average GCSE results last academic year and set to improve on them again this year.

The Head of Maths said;

"Our Mathematics Department is an energetic and exciting environment. It has grown in strength with the current team and we are looking for a passionate and driven individual who will contribute to the current teaching and learning strategies and develop their own teaching practice with our support".

As the ideal Teacher of Maths for this particular school you will;

  • Encourage all students to enjoy mathematics and to develop positive attitudes towards it;
  • Encourage all students to develop fluency in mathematical skills and to become confident in their ability to deal with mathematics both inside and outside the classroom;
  • Enable all students to take part in a variety of mathematical activities;
  • Enable all students to develop some understanding and appreciation of the beauty and structure of mathematics;
  • Enable all students to apply mathematical methods to solving problems;
  • Empower all students to tackle mathematical challenges with confidence;
