Teacher of Maths
Job description
Maths Teacher – Because You Know Numbers Are Just the Beginning
Daventry
KS3 & KS4
Are you someone who sees maths not as a subject—but a language?
We’re not looking for a textbook parrot. We’re looking for someone who can teach equations like stories, who understands the beauty of patterns, the thrill of problem-solving, and the weird comfort of a perfectly solved expression.
In this classroom, we don’t say “When will I ever use this?”—we say “Let’s find out.” You’ll be building mathematical confidence in every lesson, helping students conquer doubts and uncover abilities they never knew they had. Some will become engineers, others poets—but all of them will understand the elegance of logic, the power of precision.
This role is for you if you:
-
Can turn a lesson on fractions into a moment of revelation
-
Know that maths anxiety is real and have strategies to dismantle it
-
Would rather challenge minds than just chase marks
We’re not just another secondary school in Daventry — we’re a community where ambition meets compassion, where staff are trusted, supported and empowered to do the best work of their careers. When you join The Parker, you’re signing up for more than a timetable — you’re joining a movement.
Here’s what makes us different:
We invest in you.
Professional development isn’t just a buzzword here. From weekly coaching to national CPD programmes, you’ll get the tools you need to grow — whether you’re an NQT finding your feet or a seasoned expert refining your craft.
Collaboration is our culture.
You’re never on your own. Our teachers plan together, problem-solve together, and share success (and the occasional chocolate biscuit) as a team. We thrive on open doors, shared practice, and collective energy.
Wellbeing is a priority, not a poster.
Work-life balance matters. We cut unnecessary admin, streamline policies, and protect time for what really counts. You’ll also have access to a full wellbeing package, mental health support, and flexible working conversations.
Part of something bigger.
As part of the trust you’re connected to a national network of likeminded educators, resources, and opportunities. That means more ideas, more support, and real career pathways — within our trust and beyond.
