Teacher of Geography - Reading, Berkshire
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
As a Geography teacher seeking to secure a new opportunity from Easter 2019, you could take full advantage of a small and concentrated Geography department to take you on the next stage of your teaching journey.
The department thrives on developing experiences of learning that will enhance the 'geographical' thinking of it's students, so many lessons are enjoyed outside of the classroom setting. The school fully indulges in the 'Young Geographer of the Year' award through the Geographical Association to encourage independent investigation.
The school has been rated as having 'good' aspects for their 16-19 provision and well-being and behaviour of the students. The school's leadership have been praised on their clear vision to improve the pupil's attainment levels over the next academic year.
As a full time Geography teacher in this department you will;
- Be supported and support fellow Geography teachers
- Be fully up-to-date with the Geography curriculum in both the Human and Physical modules KS3-5
- Involve yourself in the extra-curricular activities and events across the academic year
- Confidently utilise technology within the planning of your lessons for more effective engagement
- Challenge your pupils' independent thinking
Don't miss out on this brand new opportunity in the Reading area, get your CV across to Jessica in the Thames Valley Secondary team and join the shortlist today - 0118 3271556.
