Teacher – Alternative Education
Location: High Wycombe
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 (Based on experience) Plus valuable Benefits
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025 or As soon as possible
Our client, a respected alternative education provider, is looking for a committed and adaptable Teacher to join their team in High Wycombe. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of young people who face barriers to accessing mainstream education, supporting their academic progress and personal development.
About the Role:
As a Teacher within an alternative provision setting, you will deliver tailored learning experiences to students on a one-to-one or small group basis, in a variety of settings such as the community, homes, or outreach centres. You will be instrumental in supporting students who may have social, emotional, mental health needs (SEMH), SEND, or a history of disrupted education.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver creative, engaging lessons across a range of subjects, adapted to individual learner needs

Support re-engagement with education and promote a positive learning environment

Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency professionals to support learner outcomes

Regularly assess, track, and report on progress and well-being

Provide consistent encouragement, structure, and emotional support to students
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification is preferred; strong candidates with relevant experience will also be considered

Previous experience working with vulnerable learners, SEND, or in alternative provision settings

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Patient, empathetic, and resilient with a flexible teaching approach

A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel between sites may be required)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
