Job Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, full time

You will be an integral part of developing the work of the school and giving pupils the chance to either return back into mainstream schools or prepare for the next steps in their journey, whether that be to college, an apprenticeship or a different Post-16 pathway. If successfully appointed, you would be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to students throughout the school. Due to the diversity of the education that you will provide, we do not require a subject specialism. However, the successful candidate must be able to adapt and differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners, who will have a range of abilities. 

Role and responsibilities:  

• Supporting all students throughout the school in a 1:1, whole class support or outside the class capacity  
• Continuing the altruistic work of the Progress Group   
• Giving the pupils the chance to either get back into mainstream schools or progress into a sustained Post 16 pathway  
• Contribute to a positive ethos for learning  
• Overtly promote the values and achievements of the school to the community  
• Be aware of and follow the company Equality, Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policies  
• Have and create high expectations of staff and students 

Requirements before applying to the role: 

• Teachers – to hold, or be willing to work towards, QTS/QTLS  
• Tutors – to have a degree or equivalent and be willing to work towards a teaching qualification. 

• Proven track record of raising attainment, supporting behavioural challenges and demonstrating pastoral care.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
