Teacher for KS4 ASC class required in Woolwich

A large secondary SEN school in Woolwich are looking for a dynamic teacher to join their staff team as soon as possible.
This position is a maternity cover, which will last up until the 20th July 2018 in the first instance, although this may be extended dependent on the teacher's performance.
The class you will be teaching is made up of 8 students in Key Stage 4, with mixed ASC needs. Some students are verbal and some are non-verbal. The class are working below the national curriculum level and schemes of work will be available to help you lesson plan.
You would be required to teach across the curriculum, with a big focus on numeracy and literacy. You would be supported by up to three teaching assistants in the room.
Teaching Personnel can offer a range of training courses once you are registered with us, which are either free or at a reduced cost. You will also have a dedicated SEN consultant working with you, ensuring that you are happy in your new position.
To apply for this position you will need to have QTS in the UK, and previous experience of teaching children with ASC. You must also be able to provide references from your previous employment.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
