We are working with an education provision that supports those with SEMH, behavioural difficulties and other forms of additional needs such as emotional dysregulation and attachment disorder to recruit a Teaching Assistant (SEMH).

The provision works with young people of primary age from 4-11 that have been placed in this provision due to struggles within a mainstream environment to their additional needs and as a result slower academic development with many requiring supports to achieve the levels of their mainstream peer. It is common for pupils to have attended several schools prior to their admission at the school. The school is divided between two sites, one for KS3 and the other for KS4 to enable a targeted and individualised idea for support.

The provision is in need of a Teaching Assistant (SEMH) to work with its pupils. These pupils are in smaller class sizes and have additional staffing support with Teaching Assistants, mentors and other support staff. The pupils have a negative experience and perception of school. They have become disengaged from their learning and the school are looking for Teaching Assistants of SEMH to support them within the class and provide a better experience of education.

As a Teaching Assistant (SEMH), you would assist with differentiated lessons and teaching materials suited to the young people’s working levels.
