I am looking for a Support Worker to work for a specialist facility based in Barton. The provision specialises in working with individuals who have Autism and learning difficulties. You will need to have your own mode of transport and ideally have past experience with mild to severe Autism.

The school provides for student’s aged 8 to 19 years, working closely with each individual in specifically design classrooms. The role will involve working 1:1 with specific education plans, developing the individual’s social and academic ability. The school is looking for an individual who will embrace the schools core values of being compassionate, adaptable and dynamic.

The Role:

  • Age range 8-19
  • Supporting the delivery of all lessons and helping to engage students
  • Encouraging and developing the students confidence and independence
  • Developing social, vocational and life skills
  • Liaise with teachers and support staff to develop education plans
  • Residential care
  • Supporting individuals with present challenging behaviour
  • 08:30am to 15:30pm
  • Adult and Child workforce DBS on the update service
