Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a Burnley SEN School who are looking for a Teaching Assistant for a long term role. The School cater for pupils between the age of 11 - 17 years old and the pupils in School have a range of needs including; PMLD, Physical Disabilities, Autism, ADHD and some pupils who display challenging behaviours. The School is based in the Burnley area and the School is smaller than average.

The School are looking for a hard working, empathetic, enthusiastic and experienced teaching assistant with a passion for enriching the lives of pupils who have additional needs. The School are hoping to appoint a Teaching Assistant within the next 3 - 4 weeks on a full time basis.

The role will be to start within the next 4 weeks and candidates will be expected to provide one voluntary day in School prior to the role starting this is so the head teacher can ascertain your suitability for work.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 64 per day

- Long term position available

- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEN

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
