Supply Teaching Assistant – Swansea & Neath Port Talbot

Location: Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible supply work (full-time or part-time available)
Pay: £89.38 per day
Start Date: Ongoing opportunities available


About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a difference in their education?
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking dedicated and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of Secondary Schools, ALN (Additional Learning Needs) Schools, and Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) within the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot area.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting teachers and helping pupils to achieve their best. Your day-to-day duties may include:

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons

  • Providing one-to-one or small-group support to pupils who may need extra help

  • Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) or challenging behaviour

  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

  • Supervising pupils during non-teaching times and assisting with classroom organisation

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children or young people (in a school, youth, or care setting)

  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude with a good understanding of safeguarding

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Willingness to work across a variety of school settings

  • Driving licence and access to transport is a strong advantage (due to the range of school locations)
