Are you thinking about beginning a PGCE/teacher training in the near future but would fist like to develop your existing experience through working as a graduate teaching assistant from September? Do you have aspirations to become a primary school teacher in the future? Do you have previous experience with young people? My client school, a large oversubscribed primary school based in the Raynes Park are seeking three Graduates to work as teaching assistants on a full time basis from September. This is a great opportunity for three recent graduates, who are aspiring secondary school teachers and are looking to gain invaluable school based experience before commencing teacher training. Working as a teaching assistant is a fantastic way to gain valuable school based experience which will stand you in good stead for when you begin teacher training. Graduates who have previously worked in this Raynes Park Primary school have been successful when applying for their chosen teacher training course.

As a teaching assistant in this fast placed primary school the successful graduates will be working within the learning support department where you will be working closing with students with Special Educational Needs in a wide range of subject areas. This will give you the opportunity to observe different teaching techniques and to work with pupils of all abilities from Reception to Year 6. The school are looking to interview graduates who are passionate about becoming primary school teachers in the future and are looking to use this teaching assistant role as a way to gain invaluable experience ahead of commencing teacher training. This Raynes Park based primary school is only looking to interview recent graduates who have already gained some form of experience with young people. You may have gained this experience a number of ways such as overseas teaching, tutoring, voluntary school work, youth work.
