Highlights of the Supply Teacher role:

-          Supply teacher: cover lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher

-          Cover across the subject and age range in a number of secondary schools situated in Stretford/Trafford

-          Competitive pay rate with earning potential of up to GBP550 per week

-          Excellent staff training and courses available to all staff, via Teaching Personnel’s CPD Academy

-          Stretford/Trafford based secondary schools (with a number of opportunities including part time, full time, temporary and flexible teaching roles)

Working with a variety of secondary schools brings with it a number of differing opportunities. There are schools which are rated as RI, Good and Outstanding all having their own reasons for requiring supply teachers. Some of the outstanding schools have a no cover rule and therefore require supply teachers to support in various subjects and to provide general cover. Other schools utilise supply teachers to fill long term gaps and also exercise temporary to permanent vacancy filling.

The schools are located close to the M60 and M56 motorway networks with close links to Manchester, Warrington and Salford.

As a supply teacher you will have the opportunity to remain fully flexible over your own work diary and availability. The roll of a supply teacher is to go to school on a reactive and/or proactive basis and cover lessons which are already set. Engagement of students is key, following the specific school’s internal timetable and policies.
