Our client secondary school are currently looking for additional members of staff to support with absence and course cover. This position is a great opportunity for candidates considering a career in teaching as it will give you the relevant experience before applying for a teacher training programme. This role will involve covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher, ensuring all students are supported and covering a variety of subjects.
Our client school is based in Bury, close by to the town centre, and has been graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The school also has a department dedicated to pupils with SEN and learning difficulties
To be considered for this position you must have transferrable experience supporting young people in a similar capacity. No specific teaching qualification is required as all work will be set and you will simply be required to deliver the work whilst you supervise the classroom. For those who are unqualified to teach, we also offer a free ‘Become a Cover Supervisor’ course which will provide you with the relevant training and information to work as an unqualified teacher.
The school is easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Prestwich and Whitefield via the M62 and A56. For applicants who do not drive, the school is also accessible via several forms of public transport from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.
