Job description

Secondary Teacher – Norwich

Passionate about teaching but looking for a better work-life balance?

Join the Teaching Personnel team and become a supply teacher today!

We are looking to recruit teachers to work on an ad hoc, short-term, and long-term basis across Norfolk, particularly in Norwich.

Teaching Personnel is an independent agency which has supported education establishments for over 19 years. We work hard to stand out from the crowd and go the extra mile to provide a personable service to our teachers, taking on board your circumstances and working with you to find the right assignments.

We welcome all enquiries from qualified teachers, FE teachers, and experienced instructors. Even if you are looking for just a couple of days a month, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The benefits of working with Teaching Personnel:

  • Choose from assignments that are in your local and surrounding areas.
  • Select the type of assignment that suits you best, from ad hoc daily supply through to full-time long-term supply.
  • Receive pay through PAYE only – we do not use umbrella companies.
  • Benefit from a personal service – you are a valued member of the Teaching Personnel team, not just a number. With a small, dedicated team, you will speak to the same members of staff, allowing us to quickly establish a strong working relationship.
  • Work on a Contract for Services – giving you the flexibility you want. There is no obligation to accept bookings we offer, and you are not tied to working for just us.

ECTs

We can help find the right school to support you through your induction period. Alternatively, if you are looking to gain some experience before you start, supply teaching will allow you to work in a variety of schools — giving you insight into small rural schools, large city schools, academies, and state schools. You can also complete your induction term by term.

Retired Teachers

Retired from education but miss being in the classroom? Contact us today — supply teaching is a brilliant way to still do a small amount of teaching that fits in with your other commitments; we also have morning or afternoon bookings available.

Thinking of Returning to Teaching

If you’re considering a return to the classroom, we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our experienced consultants understand the challenges of re-entering education and can help you rebuild confidence, refresh your skills, and find placements that suit your pace and preferences.

Returning from Overseas

If you are looking to return to the UK or have been working abroad for six months or more, please make sure you obtain an overseas police check before you return. Feel free to contact us and we can guide you through the process.

Registration and DBS Certificate

Registration is subject to references and an enhanced DBS check. It is mandatory that you register your DBS with the Update Service. If you already have an enhanced DBS for the child workforce, which is registered with the Update Service, we can use this to register you.

Contact Us

If you would like to discuss your requirements or find out more information, please do not hesitate to contact us at the Norwich office on 01603 972872
