Teaching Personnel are working closely with a number of secondary schools in the Gosport and surrounding areas who are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Supply Teachers to support their staffing needs. We have opportunities available for immediate start, offering flexibility to suit your availability and preferences.
As a Supply Teacher, you play a vital role in maintaining continuity of education for students during staff absences. Whether covering for a day, a few weeks, or a longer-term period, your ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons is crucial in supporting pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing.
Supply teachers are essential to the smooth running of schools, ensuring that students continue to receive high-quality education during staff absences. Your work supports school communities by minimising disruption to learning and helping maintain high standards. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in different schools, build your professional network, and make a real impact on the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-planned lessons to classes across a range of subjects and year groups (subject to your experience and preference).

Manage the classroom environment effectively to ensure a positive and productive learning experience.

Adapt quickly to different school settings and classroom routines.

Follow school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and health and safety.

Provide feedback on student progress to school staff where necessary.

Maintain a professional and flexible approach at all times.
Candidate Expectations:
The ideal candidate will:
-
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
-
Have experience teaching in a secondary school setting (all subjects considered).
-
Demonstrate strong behaviour management and classroom control skills.
-
Be adaptable, resilient, and proactive.
-
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
-
Have an up-to-date DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
