Summer work - Teaching

Job description

Teaching personnel are working alongside a school in Somerset who are seeking teachers to work over summer 2018. The ideal candidate will need to satisfy the British Council criteria which is CELTA/Cert. TESOL/ Primary QTS/PGCE with a specialism in English or Modern Languages.

The course runs from 8th July (with induction starting on 5th) until 5th August, with possible extensions until 19th August. The school ideally need residential teachers but will consider employing non-residential in some cases. Teaching is 18 hours per week( 15 in the morning and 3 hours in afternoons) and teachers also take students on a half day excursion on a Saturday. Residential teachers are also expected to help with some social and pastoral activities. There is one full day off a week, Wednesdays.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
